1. Approaching Crewe from the direction of Nantwich, we see on the right hand side "The Manor House, Wistaston, Crewe. This is now a popular public house - "The Wistaston Manor."
2. Nantwich Road, Crewe at its junction with Ruskin Road (left). The "Earl of Crewe" a public house erected in 1897 at the time of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, can be seen on the right. The buildings to the extreme right are now the Halifax Estate Agents. The walls and shrubs on either side of the junction at left have long since disappeared.
3. A similar view taken later. Note the garage / petrol station in front of the "Earl of Crewe." This now forms part of the pub's car park.
4. Turning left into Ruskin Road.
5. Crewe County Secondary School, Ruskin Road. Now the Ruskin High School.
6. A little farther down the road we take a look to the left into Gainsborough Road. On the left can be seen the Methodist Chapel.
7. A more recent view in the opposite direction down Gainsborough Road. The Methodist Chapel now on the right in the distance.
8. We return to Nantwich Road and look back to the "Earl of Crewe", now on the left and Ruskin Road junction on the right (just before the shop with the sun blind down).
